Training in trainers

posted on Monday, 1st February 2010 | find under

Tuesday was a great day for the retail team. We got to see all of our managers as we held a training day at the rather famous Lords Cricket Ground in St Johns Wood. What a venue! Beautiful grounds, famous faces adorning the walls and the Murrey game on every screen proved to be an inspiring start to the day. Asics were our host and the morning flew by in a haze of trainer product knowledge. We learnt all about how to fit the perfect shoe through gait analysis and also all about the technical details behind Asics shoes. The Asics representatives Tom and Alex certainly knew their stuff and are both keen runners. Their motto of a 'sound mind in a sound body' is an ideal that we can all certainly enjoy. If that wasnt enough we then also had a chi running lessson. Chi running is aimed at helping runners to change their posture when running to help reduce injury. Similar to yoga or pilates it views running as a practice rather than a sport. It was a little tricky to master (and I'm sure the boys at the circket grounds enjoyed watching our attempts) but so far all the results of practice seem positive...and knee pains have disappeared! An amazing day that reminded me just how lucky i am to be working with such an inspiring team! When can we do it again?

Great Post! A Gait Analysis can help in finding the correct footwear for your chosen sporting activity by identifying where your feet needs to be supported the most. Sounds like you had a greta day!
