Sweaty Betty's guide to Lido

posted on Friday, 31st March 2017 | find under Travel
Hello Orange County! Located on the waterside, Lido in Newport Beach is known for its sun, sand, serious shopping and now Sweaty Betty. Lido's Marina Village is about to get London style by the bucket load as we open our fourth shop on the East Coast. ‘When I founded Sweaty Betty in 1998, opening stores in California was a dream as it perfectly embodies the active lifestyle Sweaty Betty represents,' reflects Founder & Creative Director, Tamara. 'The weather and endless fitness opportunities make it so easy to be active and Orange County’s incredible studios and surf make it the perfect home for our brand'. Here's our lowdown on the area.

With a beautiful harbour view and mouthwatering croissants, Zinque is the place to go for the best brunch in town. With wooden tables, wrought-iron details and a beautiful bar, enjoy the sun with a glass of rose at this French hot spot.

Balboa Peninsula

The home of sandy beaches and endless miles of the Pacific Ocean, head to Balboa Peninusla for harbourside views, watersports and our personal favourite the Balboa Fun Zone, a favourite with locals since 1936. OC fans take note, the Ferris Wheel here is where Ryan and Marissa shared their first kiss.

Orange County Museum

In need of a culture fix? The Orange County Museum highlights California art and cutting-edge contemporary artists, with exhibitions rotating through two large spaces. There’s also a sculpture garden, eclectic gift shop and a theater screening classic, foreign and art-related films.

Crystal Cove State Park

A few miles of open beach and 2400 acres of undeveloped woodland at this state beach let you forget you're in a crowded metropolitan area. The perfect place to relax.
