Personal trainer, author, health and fitness blogger, social influencer, junior doctor, is there anything Hazel Wallace can't do?
The Food Medic grew out of Hazel’s medical background and interest in nutrition and fitness. She set up her successful blog in August 2013, in the hopes of using it as a platform to show people that eating healthy, or eating ‘clean’, can be enjoyable, uncomplicated and easy to incorporate into busy lifestyle. Over the past 3 years Hazel has featured as one The Daily Mail's Top Ten Fitness Instagrammers and featured in HELLO!, The Evening Standard, and Women’s Health.
She now works as a Junior Doctor in London, trying to bridge the gap between mainstream medicine and nutrition.
Three burning questions
Describe your morning routine?
I start every morning with a strong coffee and a good breakfast of either poached eggs on seeded toast, or some protein oats. I try to catch up on emails from the day before while my breakfast is cooking! I quickly get ready and then pack my bag for the day including my gym kit and lunch!
Your favourite workout and why?
I love using my own body weight when working out. You can make up an awesome circuit without any equipment with exercises like squats, lunges, push ups, and planks. I don't stress if I can't make it to the gym - I just get creative and work out at home!
Number one goal for 2017?
Release a best-selling book and take The Food Medic to TV!
