Dance like a star

To get you in the mood for our month of all things dance in September, we caught up with Director of Seen on Screen Fitness (and professional dancer), Bonnie Parsons, to find her motivation for getting London to bust-a-move like the stars.

Seen On Screen Fitness brings together all the big dance names in the music industry who work alongside major stars such as Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Beyonce. In 90 minute sessions (either one-on-one or as part of a group) they teach you how to dance like your favorite star, all in the name of fitness.

Bonnie says, ‘I launched Seen On Screen Fitness because I saw a gap in the market, not only to make the professional dancers working with the stars accessible to dance lovers, but to help people (specifically women) feel confident in themselves and find a form of exercise they love. Dancing, to me, is about empowerment and confidence. You come out of a class and feel like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders. Dance does wonders for self-esteem as you are constantly challenging yourself and achieving things you didn't think you were capable of. It gives you a sense of strength that I find translates into my everyday life.’

The other bonus is dance is a great way to get and stay fit. A dance class gives you a full-body, cardio workout, helping tone arms, abs, glutes. Plus all while having fun to the beat of the hottest tunes and learning some killer moves for next time you hit the dance floor.
